can i put my own money from my pocket to put on my debit card rather than just have my checks go there? if so, how do i do it or do i need a banking account?

In the old days Fractional Reserve Banking was viewed as a ponzi scheme so the goldsmith of the time learn to keep it a secret. Today most people dont know what it is but the banks still practice it. Why is it allowed as normal bank practice? and what are the pros and cons of fractional reserve banking?

I have 2 degrees in International Finance and Accounting from a Top school in the West. I am 28 years old and I have 3 years of work experience as an Accountant, I have taken the CPA exam but I am not licensed because i need a MBA. I am thinking of getting my MBA in 2 years and I want to venture into Investment Banking. Can anyone tell me if this is going to be a good career change? Is there a future in Investment banking with all our current economic woes?

The board of governors is a quasi-governmental organization. i.e. persons working for a private organization appointed by the president of the united states and paid by the tax payers.
