Go into investment banking or become a surgeon?

My moms a doctor and my dad has his MBA. I know it only takes an MBA to become an I banker and the money gets better later on but I also want to go into spinal surgery. The surgery takes alot more school time and practice but I know its a guarenteed job that doesnt depend on the economy. Which one should I start to focus on I’m in high school now and I wouldnt mind doing either one.

Take all the math and lab science (bio, chem, physics) courses you can in high school and you’ll be prepared to start college for either field. In college, major in anything and take the premed courses and when you finish college you’ll still be able to go for either the MBA or MD – and you’ll hopefully have decided by then which way to go.
