How often do digital banking statements update?

I’m expecting a cheque to clear today so I can go shopping so I’m checking my digital banking a lot, will my statement update in realtime when the cheque clears? Is it delayed or does it update every few hours?

Most are only updated only on weekday evenings. Some banks show both a “current” and an “available” balance. The “current” is the overnight balance. The “available” includes transactions since the last overnight update. Usually, clearing of cheques only occurs overnight.
