If you have a debit card then it is already linked to a bank account somewhere. Look at the back of the card for customer service information.

You can’t have a debit card without having a bank account. What is the card going to debit without a bank account to debit? You do not put money onto a debit card, you put money on a secured credit card and that has nothing to do with a debit card. Sorry but you don’t have a clue what you are talking about.

Many employers now are using debit cards to pay their employees. Is that what you are referring to? Cause if you have a debit card and money is being deposited on it then you do not need a bank account.
You can also get debit cards at varying locations and put money on them to reuse. I believe Walmart is actually setting up stations to do this. If it is a gift card debit card odds are it can’t be reloaded.
Now if you have one of these reloadable debit cards and are wanting your paycheck to be put on it that is between you and your employer. Otherwise you just have to cash your check and put the cash on the card or set up direct deposit with a bank/credit union.
