Close your eyes and picture a CPA, that is what you should look like for a banking interview.

And wear a suit with a skirt & skin colored hose if you are a female. Navy or gray preferred.

Interviews are not the time to wow them with your fashion sense or your "power" suit.

If you want to set yourself apart from your competition, you need to walk in and treat your interview as if you are interviewing them.

Ask tons of questions throughout (not wage/time off /benefits!).

Good luck

There's no such thing as a red business suit. Business suits are black, grey or dark blue (navy). It can either be solid or pinstriped. Any other suit is for parties.

Similarly, your shirt should be white (preferred) or light blue. Long sleeves generally leave a better impression (and wear a plain white T-shirt underneath). Your shoes should be black and polished.

Where you can. It is actually a great idea to wear a tie with red in it or even a solid red tie. Just avoid cartoon characters (if I'm interviewing you, avoid paisley prints, too - but that's just a pet peeve).

If you need more detailed tips, get yourself to the Men's Wearhouse or go to their site ( ).

Stick with basic blacks, grays and blues if you want to get the job. Banks like people who come accross as stable and reliable. They aren't looking for risk takers.

Big no-no. Go the traditional route, please. That move WILL NOT impress employers. Try tan or grey if you think everyone else will wear black or blue, but NOT RED.
