I am looking for a job in a bank, the thing is I have a criminal record about 15 years ago, when I was 20 years old, but I have excellent credit 790 , I took some games in a store. and what do I check in the job application, yes or no to criminal history?

    The crimes they are inquiring about are felony charges. Like armed robbery, arson, things like that. If you were never convicted of a crime then you don’t have what is considered as a criminal history. Were you ever prosecuted for stealing some games?

    Credit history is only one variable in a background check. Even petty theft will look bad for someone applying for a bank job. Always be honest on an application. Even if you get the job they can always fire you for any reason for lying on an application. You might get hired at an entry level job if your record isn’t properly checked out but if you wish to advance up the ladder the security clearance levels will be more scrutinizing of your past.
