Do you really build a relationship by doing all your banking through one company (student loans, savings account, checking, credit cards), etc.?

In fact it doesn’t matter. You should do your search before choosing the bank for the right product and go with the one that gives you the best in terms of service and monetary benefits. For saving accounts ING Direct could be better than Bank of America but for mortgage you might get better rates with Bank of America. Just shop around and get the best.

.If you like the bank and they treat you right, and they have good rates and will work with you then stay. By all means, the longer you are happy with a financial company and they treat you right there’s no reason to go and “spread out”.

I have my banking with 3 different banks at the moment. I got a better deal on my personal loan, home loan and credit card with seperate banks. I really suggest shopping around as it can save you $1000′s.
I recommend that you bank with a credit union. Credit Unions usually have lower interest rates.
