Traditional banking is more conservative where Modern banking is more flexible and has been more liberal in terms of credit and asset valuation. Modern banking principles can be found in the larger banks where traditional banking practices will be employed in smaller banks. There are pros and cons to each, but over the long-term tradtional banking is the least risky.
